But Jesus chose them because He believed in their potential as they were willing to learn and trust in His power. What an encouragement to know that we don’t need to be supernatural heroes for God to choose us, too. Actually, it isn’t about us at all. It’s about allowing the power of God’s mighty hand to transform us and draw us closer to Him so He can do the work in us, through us, for us, and with us. All we need is the willingness to learn and the faithfulness to trust in Him. If you know someone who is feeling undeserving of this great calling, let this be the message they hear more than anything: “Jesus chose you, too.”
